After graduating from Indiana University in 1975 with a B.S. in business, I served as a VISTA volunteer for one year working with low-income senior citizens in Rolla, Missouri. After the VISTA experience, I worked in the business world as an office manager for a medical testing laboratory, as a production control supervisor in industry, and as a sales consultant to schools. During the same period, I coached girls’ basketball and launched a small family business delivering balloons as a juggling clown for special occasions. This experience allowed me to develop a fail-proof method for teaching people to juggle. In 1989, using the juggling concept, I created and began presenting motivational and character-building assembly programs for groups of all ages. The programs are built around the art of juggling and true-life storytelling and are performed under the auspices of the Serious O’Sillies Company, the company I founded in 1989. In addition to these credentials, my wife of forty-one years and I raised four inspiring children, all of whom are faithful consultants, critics, and fans.
